Bing Surfboards
Feral Pig
Overview
The Bing Feral Pig is a collaborative project between Bing head shaper, Matt Calvani and Mike Black, founder of Surf-A-Pig. Mike Black, an exclusive rider of pig boards for over 3 years, approached Matt Calvani to collaborate on designing the ideal pig board. Mike provided extensive feedback, including experiences, videos, and photos of how various pig boards performed in different conditions. Matt then shaped the board, which Mike immediately recognized as perfectly balanced. Mike's first session with the Feral Pig, even in small waves, was amazing. He later described it as the single best board he had ever ridden, praising its functionality and ability to accelerate where other pig boards felt sluggish. He noted its exceptional turning capability, comparing it to a hot knife through room-temperature butter. Mike, weighing 205 lbs, also stated that this board nose rides better than any other board he has ridden, concluding that it seriously does it all and can be a one-board quiver.
