White Tiger
Overview
The White Tiger was originally a side project for John John Florence, designed for fun and playful surfing. It features a clean, stubby outline with a full nose and wide squash tail, and a beak-nose design to maintain volume under the chest for improved paddle power. The board's even, flowing bottom rocker is flat throughout, promoting quick planing and easy speed generation. It incorporates a single/double concave through the front two-thirds, transitioning to a pronounced vee/double concave in the tail, providing lift, speed, and smooth rail-to-rail transitions. The relatively flat deck with tapered rails balances volume with sensitivity, making it responsive without feeling too bulky. It is recommended to ride the White Tiger 2-5 inches shorter than your regular shortboard, and ½ to 1 inch wider with slightly more volume.

Volume guide:
Our volume guide can help you figure out a good estimated volume for you to base your next board off of.
Ability/weight/volume numbers are not exact, but can give you an idea of where to start. This chart is assuming volume for a basic performance board to be ridden in weak to good waves.
* Generally speaking, you would want to ADD volume for a board designed for smaller, weaker conditions. * You would also ADD volume for a step-up/gun board for use in even bigger, more powerful waves. * Added weight (thick wetsuit, booties, etc.) should be calculated into your weight. * You generally want to balance the added ease of paddling (more volume) with sensitivity and performance (less volume).
