Overview

The BioDiesel adds to our diesel class of boards a design that's part race-ready performance and part efficient daily driver. We started with our Turbo Diesel's rocker, outline, & foil and tuned it to create a high performance board that excels in average middle of the road surf. The BioDiesel is reactive in the pocket with another gear for creating and maintaining speed. First we looked at the Turbo's rocker and knew that we liked its ability for catching waves, accelerating off the bottom and arcing off the top. So we kept its rocker profile and then lowered both ends on the BioDiesel to make it an even better paddler and have more drive in waves that aren't that very steep or fast. We then widened the Turbo's outline from the middle through the tail so that the BioDiesel generates and maintains speed more easily with some added in glide for flatter faced waves. One final feature we considered was the Turbo's racy tapered medium rails. By carrying those over to the BioDiesel, it has that performance feel and easily gets on rail to take advantage of all its speed.

Category: BETWEENERS.

Rocker: Low entry with a slight amount of rocker from center through the tail.

Rails: Tapered in the nose to medium through center going to medium thin through the tail.

Bottom: Single to slight double concave.

Fins: Standard with a five fin setup to be ridden as a thruster or quad.

Sizing:

Sizing from the Turbo Diesel ride the same length to 2" shorter, same thickness, and 5/8-1" wider while close to or a little higher in volume.. For the highest level of performance, length should be at height to 2" under your height while adjusting width and thickness for optimal volume. Ride shorter than height for highest performance moving up in length in your preferred volume or slightly above for more control and ease of paddling or in larger surf. Custom dims are always available to match your needs or preferences. Please feel free to use our BOARD SIZING QUESTIONNAIRE to receive more info about our boards and sizing.
